Current dance classes

FLAMENCO

In each hour-long class, Alice Blumenfeld will teach flamenco dance technique including arm-work, footwork, traveling patterns, and turns along with a traditional Sevillanas choreography, a folk dance from southern Spain danced at many Spring celebrations and fairs. 


2020 Session 1:

Jan 29, Feb, 5 /12 /19 / 26, March 4

Ages 6 - 11: 6 - 7pm

Ages 12+: 7 - 8pm.


2020 Session 2:

April 1 / 8 / 22 / 29, May 6 / 13

Ages 6 - 11: 6 - 7pm

Ages 12+: 7 - 8pm.


Cost:

$20 for 6-week session.

BALLET

Led by instructors from the renowned North Pointe Ballet, classes will consist of technique and rehearsal for the performance piece and also include an education component specific to Latin American dancers in the ballet world and historical significance with respect to these dancers and dance history.

Times: 

Ages 5-8: 6pm - 7pm 

Ages 9 - 13: 7:15pm - 8:15pm


Performance: 

April 4 at 3:00pm 

 

Cost:

$20 for 6-week session.

GRUPO COQUI

Dances include traditional, modern Latin, and hip hop. All of our dance groups will have many opportunities to perform at our events throughout the community. 


Dates & Times:

Ages 5 to 10 

6pm - 7pm, 

Every Tuesday Ongoing.

 

Cost:

$10 monthly 

(payable online or in cash at Center)

SABOR LATINO

Dances include traditional, modern Latin, and hip hop. All of our dance groups will have many opportunities to perform at our events throughout the community. 


 Dates & Times:

Ages 11 to 18 

7pm - 8pm, 

Every Tuesday Ongoing.

 

Cost:

$10 monthly

RITMO Y RAZA

This exciting class concentrates exclusively on the traditional dances from countries such as Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and more. 


  Dates & Times: 

All ages: 6 - 7:30 pm, 

Every Tues and Thurs Ongoing.
